The United Way of Charlotte

The United Way has been strengthening neighborhoods for 95 years and is currently investing in the Historic West End of Charlotte. The United Neighborhood Program has allocated funds to help families dealing with emergencies. If you have been laid off and live in the area between Beatties Ford Road and Wesley Heights and Trinity Road, you can click HERE to fill out the application form and apply to receive assistance. Keep in mind, not everyone who applies is guaranteed to get help.

Founder of Historic West End Partners, J’Tanya Adams, said she wishes they had more to give but added the assistance is a part of a greater effort. After WBTV interviewed Miss Adams, they published an article on their website and listed the other organizations helping other Charlotte area neighborhoods.

At Alloy Wealth, we believe in giving back and encourage you to consider helping the United Way achieve their goal – to build pathways to economic opportunity and break down barriers to help lift people out of poverty. If you can’t afford to donate, you could volunteer, or advocate for your community.

In the past year and a half, The United Way has invested $18 million in Charlotte communities through various grants and initiatives designed to address homelessness and housing instability. Over $4 million of that investment went towards their United Neighborhood Program which supports 66 nonprofit organizations providing services to residents in need.
