Nathan Workman is an investment advisor whose mission is to take his clients from hoping to meet their retirement goals to knowing how to achieve them. He uses an education-first approach which prioritizes clients’ understanding and mastery over financial, legal, and tax concepts, empowering them to replace confusion and doubt with clarity and confidence. While he excels at solving complex, interdisciplinary planning challenges, the most rewarding aspect of his job is observing clients apply the knowledge they’ve gained over time to skillfully navigate decisions which they would’ve struggled to make in the past. He enjoys the process of discovery with his clients-learning where they’ve been, where they are, and where they’re going. Moreover, he takes particular pride when this process culminates in a comprehensive plan that clients not only grasp, but also are enthusiastic to undertake.
Before joining Alloy Wealth, Nathan amassed over two decades of industry experience in a broad range of roles, including estate planner, tax consultant, data scientist, and auditor. In addition to securities and insurance licensure, Nathan is a licensed attorney and registered tax preparer, and has garnered numerous accolades for client service and professional excellence throughout his career. He earned academic honors with both his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Juris Doctor degrees, and has made learning a priority throughout his career, having prepared and presented continuing education courses regularly for groups such as the National Business Institute and North Carolina Bar.
When not in the office, Nathan cherishes every moment spent with his wife, Emily, and their two inquisitive children, Everett and Tessa. Whether he’s reading books in whimsical voices or embarking on destinations rich in history, he believes in imparting the values of curiosity and life-long learning to his children. Music serves as a refuge in Nathan’s bustling life. Although his schedule often limits time with his beloved guitars, he rarely turns down any opportunity to sift through dusty crates in hopes of uncovering hidden gems for his ever-growing record collection. Nathan brings the same meticulous care and passion to ensuring his clients’ financial, legal, and tax strategies harmoniously align with their long-term goals.
When: This is a two-night master class offered September 19 & September 21 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm each night.
The top reason baby boomers and pre-retirees attend this class is to become informed and learn things that they didn’t know about regarding retirement planning. Many of the retirement planning strategies utilized by our parents have grown outdated and may no longer be the optimal application for those seeking to retire today or in the next few years. This course compares and contrasts the older retirement paradigms versus what exists today. You will learn how to help insulate yourself from the risks of rising taxes, low interest rates, and become aware of and help avoid common retirement planning mistakes.
The information we provide regarding tax minimization planning is not intended to, and cannot, be used by anyone to avoid paying federal, state, or local municipalities, taxes, or penalties. You should seek advice based on your particular circumstances from an independent tax advisor as tax laws are subject to interpretation, legislative change, and unique to every specific taxpayer’s particular set of facts and circumstances.
