Three years ago, the Covid-19 pandemic changed the way Americans prefer to work, but today’s hybrid working demands are causing talented employees to leave their industry with little or no notice. Amazon, Disney, Tesla, Starbucks and other large corporations are forcing employees back to the office claiming it’s for the sake of productivity. But employees who had once felt empowered, now feel micromanaged and are pushing back.

Psychology Today published an article highlighting information from IWG, the global leader in hybrid working, which listed the obvious benefits of the hybrid model.

  • Hybrid workers exercise more, sleep longer, and eat better, leading to a healthier workforce.
  • Hybrid workers have improved mental health, as 66 percent reported better mental well-being due to additional personal time.
  • Hybrid work offers organizations an opportunity to promote employee well-being, leading to a more engaged and productive workforce.

Regardless of the benefits, 90% of companies continue to force employees back to the office creating a trend of Quick Quitting which can only change if employers learn to change their mind-set.
